Happening in Upland: The 97-Degree March Nightmare

Upland is experiencing unusually high temperatures for March, with residents feeling the heat. The community is also facing several ongoing challenges. A Tesla Supercharger station on Arrow Route remains closed due to failing to meet state requirements, impacting electric vehicle owners. The station has been closed since August 2025.

Ongoing construction on Foothill Boulevard between Benson and Euclid is causing significant traffic delays. The project, which includes asphalt grinding and roadway resurfacing, is expected to continue until August. Residents are advised to plan for disruptions and potential noise.

The Upland Unified School District is promoting its summer programs, including arts and enrichment activities for younger students. Enrollment for the Summer Bridge program, which begins in June, opened in early March. The district recently celebrated student achievement at Upland High School and recognized the success of Black History Night in February.
